This was the first MK III turbo I had. It was an '89 and I'd only had it for about a year when a bluehair in a K-car made an oncoming left turn in front of me. I never even had time to hit the brakes. I was doing about 30-35 mph. This car was totaled by the insurance company. I found it incredible that it cost more to fix this car than its book value of $10,500. I did, however get much more from the insurance company. By the time I got done with them, they gave me $16,500 for the car. It was in really excellent shape with some nice mods. The wheels were MSW type 33. The car only had 50,000 miles on it. |
